Michael Jackson Pleads Not Guilty to Child Molestation Charges
Pop superstar Michael Jackson leaped onto a sports utility vehicle and waved to a large group of supporters and blew kisses to fans after leaving his arraignment at the Santa Maria courthouse. The singer flashed the victory sign to media and fans. Jackson pleaded not guilty to child molestation charges. Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville warned Jackson not to be late for court, as the arraignment was delayed 20 minutes due to Jackson's tardiness. The judge set February 13, 2004, as the date he will set the preliminary hearing. A large crowd of Jackson's fans and supporters gathered at the courthouse, and the singer shook hands with fans and a Sheriff's Deputy as he entered the court.
